Happy New Year! Getting Creative

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and lots of fun celebrating. One of my goals for 2013 is to do something creative every single day. I'm interested to see what happens when focusing on art and creativity even within day to day tasks. I have no idea what will come of it all but I'm very excited about that unknown and looking forward to all the happy surprises it brings. I just got back to L.A. last night from spending almost two weeks with my family in Florida. I LOVED our trip home and of course miss everyone already very very much. One of our favorite things to do together while we're home...go to the auction. It's so much fun to see what treasures you might find and get to bid on. This trip my Mother got a box full of old license plates and will make a really neat map of the U.S out of them. Can't wait to see how it looks. When we were on our way to the auction I took the photo below while we were driving, well my Dad was driving, and I wanted some photos of the sunset so I had to get creative since we were in the car. I slowed the shutter way down to make the trees really really blurry but kept it just fast enough to get a pretty clear sky. I wanted it to look like a painting. I love this photo of the blurring trees, reminds me of our fun trip zipping down the road, talking and watching the beautiful Florida sunset.

I wish you all success, health and lots of joy for this new year...and lots of art and creativity too!
