Happy Friday: Butterflies

When I was home in Florida last week, my family and I went to the Florida Museum of Natural History to see the Butterfly Exhibit. One of the most beautiful things was the screened in Butterfly Rainforest -you walk through while thousands of butterflies flutter about you. They also have a Butterfly Release of butterflies that have just hatched - these butterflies had never flown before and as soon as they were released they just flew off into the forest. It is gorgeous and very educational. I didn't know this, but most butterflies only have a lifespan of 2 to 3 weeks, a very busy few weeks (click on the highlight above to learn more).
