A while back I was hired to photograph the launch of a magazine that was held at a flower boutique in Los Angeles. While I was standing outside the event, waiting for new guests to arrive, I looked over to my right and saw this quiet moment happening. I snapped three quick shots from a distance and this was the first frame...
Moments like this are some of my favorite, the unexpected gifts you'll see if you take a minute to just look around and take it all in. Some days I like to have what I call "quiet days" when I spend the day observing and listening, only speaking when spoken too, just enjoying the quiet. It's an eye-opening experiment to try. It's fascinating what the world shows you when you really look and really listen.
