Below is the story of two people who fell in love during high school and are getting married later this year. After getting to know this couple, I set out to design an engagement session that tells their story. The shoot was done during my most recent JennKL Photography Workshop. During my workshops I start the day with lessons, questions and learning all about how to use your camera. Then we take a photo walk and practice on each other. The workshops always end with an actual photo shoot where students get to participate in an actual session. We all had such a great afternoon photographing the love shared by this couple. Enjoy taking a walk through this couple's story of falling in love - starting with their romantic fairytale study session, then on to her waiting patiently to be picked up for their date. Her price charming arrives just in time, flowers in hand to whisk her away to their date which ends with a proposal for marriage. Then a few fun shots of a role reversal and nod to the American Gothic painting by Grant Wood. I also want to thank my mother Janet for designing the flower arrangements and helping me design the entire concept for the shoot using all kinds of antiques from our home in Florida. Thank you to my sister Elizabeth for making the beautiful purse you see during the date scene and for shooting behind-the-scenes footage. And, thank you to my father Ernest for making the yard look so beautiful :-).
